Corso di formazione professionale FSE per
“esperto in lavorazioni artistiche del vetro”
La figura professionale di riferimento annovera in se competenze pratiche e tecnico-professinali.
Utilizzando i metodi tradizionali e innovativi delle lavorazioni artistiche del vetro è’ in grado di progettare, produrre, ed
installare manufatti vitrei artigianali e industriali, nel rispetto delle normative vigenti.
Sintesi del programma:
LABORATORIO PRATICO:
• Tecniche di lavorazione del vetro piano di base ( taglio sagomato a mano libera – molatura – sabbiatura –
incisione – incollaggio strutturale con colle UV)
• Tecniche di fusione del vetro a basso e alto spessore ( Fusing – Kilnforming – Casting – Pate de Verre)
• Tecniche di lavorazione artigianale - artistica del vetro piano ( vetrata a piombo/rame – pittura su vetro -
trasferimento di immagini – dalles de verre)
• Tecniche di lavorazione a caldo ( Lume-Pyrex – perle veneziane – Murrine)
TEORIA:
• Le proprietà del vetro, (chimica- meccanica – ottica) *
• Repertorio dei prodotti vetrati e delle tipologie del vetro piano per l’edilizia – Nomativa di riferimento
• Informatica di base per la gestione della propria immagine aziendale. (Photoshop – Illustrator – Joomla)
WORKSHOP
• Interventi sul patrimonio architettonico tutelato – ( le vetrate per il convento dei francescani a bolzano) *
• Design per il territorio ( la progettazione di oggetti per la tavola in vetro)*
• Se faccio imparo ( percorso di formazione per insegnati delle scuole del territorio)*
STAGE E VISITE DIDATTICHE
• Stage presso aziende del settore e centri di specializzazione in Italia e all’estero

Corsi di lavorazione del vetro.

Vetroricerca Glas & Modern Coop , centro sperimentale per le tecniche di lavorazione del vetro di Bolzano si trova in Alto Adige, nel cuore delle Dolomiti. Dal 1996 si occupa della diffusione e dell'insegnamento della lavorazione del vetro e ospita docenti e allieve/i provenienti da tutto il mondo.

Nel mese di settembre 2010 il centro proporrà alcuni moduli didattici tenuti da docenti e soci fondatori, come Alessandra Piazza, Alberto Gambale e Silvia Levenson, e da insegnanti che collaborano da anni con la nostra struttura, provenienti da vari paesi, come Mari Mészàros (Paesi Bassi) e Kirstie Rea (Australia).

Questi corsi rappresentano un’occasione di scambio e condivisione di esperienze e conoscenze, ma anche un’opportunità per espandere sia il bagaglio tecnico che la propria creatività. Sono rivolti ad artisti e artigiani che hanno esperienze pregresse nel settore e a coloro che per la prima volta si accostano a questo materiale nella ricerca di un equilibrio fra conoscenza tecnica, idee, concetti ed intuizioni.

Between Art & Technique

Glass workshops

Vetroricerca Glas & Modern Coop, experimental center for the glass

in Bolzano (Italy) is located inAlto Adige, in the heart of the

Dolomites. Since 1996, Vetroricerca Glas & Modern coop has been

recognized as a centre for research, education and training in glass

as well as hosting teachers and students from all around the world

In September 2010, the center will propose some workshops

holding by instructors and founding partners, like Alessandra Piazza

, Alberto Gambale and Silvia Levenson and instructorsfrom other

countries working for years with our structure, among them, Mari

Mészàros (Netherlands) and Kirstie Rea (Australia).

These courses are intended to represent an opportunity for

exchange and sharing of experiences and knowledge, but

also opportunities to expand both the technical baggage and

creativity. They are targeted to artists and craftsmen who have had

previous experience in the field but also for those who for the

first time approach this material and need to balance ideas,

concepts,insights and technical skills.

Molds

Alberto Gambale

Per creare oggetti tridimensionali o sculture in vetro, per prima cosa bisogna avere una idea.Successivamente è necessario realizzare gli stampi nei quali il vetro si fonderà e prenderà la forma desiderata. Bisogna pensare perciò alle possibili soluzioni e passaggi:modello, gomma siliconica, cera e così via. Gambale sulla base di alcuni esempi pratici ci guiderà proprio nella progettazione e realizzazione degli stampi .

Alberto Gambale si è diplomato presso l’ Accademia d'Arte di Bologna, vive e lavora a Ferrara.

Espone le sue opere in Italia e nel mondo.Ha collaborato con Kimiake e Shin-ichi Higuchi, Giappone, e ha insegnato in diverse scuole, fra le quali al Centro Nazionale del Vetro a La Granja, in Spagna.

You need an idea before making a 3D glass object or sculpture. Next step is to make molds in to which glass would melt and take the desired shape.

In mold making process, you must think of possible solutions and

takcertain steps like making the model, silicon rubber, wax etc.

Alberto will guide us through the mold making process, discussing

on detailed issues and methods of work to create molds for kiln

forming

Alberto Gambale Residing and working in Ferrara, Italy .He had his BS in art from the Academy of Art in Bologna. He shows on several exhibitions in Italy and worldwide. Heeee has collaborated with Kimiake and Shin-Ichi Higuchi, Japan and has thought in various schools including National Glass Center of La Granja, Spain.

The skin of the objects

In questo corso si imparerà a realizzare le fusioni in vetro ad alto spessore, esplorando la riproduzione delle textures degli oggetti. Attraverso la parte esterna di cose e persone, noi riceviamo informazioni a volte complesse e perfino contraddittorie. L'idea di questo seminario è quella di sperimentare con la pelle degli oggetti e giocare con tecnica e creatività, alla ricerca di un equilibrio fra la pratica e le idee.

Silvia Levenson è nata a Buenos Aires e abita in Italia dal 1981.Espone in gallerie e musei in Europa e nel mondo. Ha insegnato in diverse scuole,fra le quali Pilchuck (USA), North Lands Creative Glass, Scozia e Canberra Glassworks, Australia.

In this course you will learn kilncasting from a clay model as well as reproduction of the skin textures from simple objects to human skin. Through the skin of objects , we get sometimes complex and even sophisticated information. The main objective of this workshop is to experiment the skin of objects and also interaction between technique and creativity to find the balance between them.

As an independent studio artists, Silvia Levenson lives and works in Italy since 1981. Originally from Buenos Aires, she has had several group and solo exhibitions around the world. She was instructor in many glass schools including Pilchuck (USA) , North Lands Creative Glass, Scotland, Canberra Glassworks, Australia and Bullseye Glass Co.(USA) Portland, Oregon.

GLASS JEWERLY

ALESSANDRA PIAZZA

Attraverso lo studio e l'esplorazione della fusione del vetro, gli studenti saranno guidati nel disegno,nella progettazione, realizzazione e finitura di gioielli e ornamenti di vetro. Lavorare in piccola scala vuol dire

anche mettere l'accento sulla cura dei particolari. In questo seminario i pezzi saranno fusi, sabbiati, tagliati e molati in modo tale da espandere il più possibile le nostre possibilità creative.

Alessandra Piazza è nata a Bolzano e si è laureata al DAMS di Bologna. Dal 1996, si occupa di vetro fusione sia come insegnante sia come titolare di una bottega artigiana. Ha creato e realizzato una propria linea di gioielli, che è stata esposta e commercializzata in Italia e negli Stati Uniti.

Through study and exploration of glass fusing, students will learn how to design, make and finish glass jewellery and ornaments. We work in small scale to put the emphasis on design while keeping our focus on details. In this workshop, glass pieces are fused, sandblasted, cut and cold worked in order to unleash our creativity as much as possible.

Alessandra Piazza was born in Bolzano and graduated from DAMS,

Bologna. Since 1996 she has worked with kilnforming as a teach

er while running her a craft workshop. She has created and

produced her own line of jewelry that has been in the market both

in Italy and the United States.

EXPERIMENTATION WITH

KIRSTIE REA

COST : EURO 750

Sappiamo che si usa il forno per fondere il vetro ma modificando le temperature in modo appropriato, possiamo ottenere dei risultati completamente differenti fra loro. Così s’imparerà che il vetro si può pettinare o che si possono fare dei fili, che si può fondere a bassa temperatura incollandosi appena, e così via. Kirstie guiderà gli allievi attraverso la sperimentazione di temperature e modalità diverse partendo da questi due soli elementi, il forno e il vetro, e ottenendo dei risultati veramente sorprendenti.

Kirstie Rea è nata in Australia.Ha studiato con Klaus Moje ed ha insegnato nelle più prestigiose scuole, da Canberra School of Art a North Lands Creative Glass, Scozia a Pilchuck and Urban Glass negli Stati Uniti. Le sue opere sono esposte in diverse gallerie e collezioni pubbliche come il Victoria &Albert Museum di Londra e la National Gallery in Australia

We know that you can use the kiln to fuse glass, but by controlling the temperature you will obtain completely different results. The glass can be fused, "combed" and you can make stringers, even you can fuse it at low temperatures just sticking together. Kirstie Rea will guide students through temperature testing and different experimentation starting from these two elements: glass and kiln, to get really surprising results.

Kirstie Rea is a full-time studio artist living and working in

Australia. She studied glass with Klaus Moje and she was

Instructor in the most prestigious schools from Canberra

Glass School of Art, Creative Glass in North Lands, at

Pilchuck and Urban Glass in USA. Her works are exhibited

in various galleries and public collections as the Victori and

Albert Museum, London and the National Gallery, Australia

THE GLASS BODY

Mari Mészàros

Questo corso sarà centrato sulla riproduzione in vetro del corpo umano. Mari insegnerà la tecnica che usa nel proprio lavoro per “clonare” e/ o riprodurre, viso, mani e braccia utilizzando il vetro. Si imparerà a prendere calchi di parti del corpo , realizzare degli stampi in gesso e a fondere sopra delle le lastre di vetro in modo da riprodurre il corpo umano in ogni dettaglio.

Mari Mézsàros è nata in Ungheria, vive e lavora in Olanda dal 1982. Espone in diverse gallerie in Europa e negli Stati Uniti. I suoi lavori sono presenti in collezioni prestigiose come Fine Art Museum of San Francisco,Musée des Art Decoratifs, Lausanna e Musée Atelier de Verre, Sars Poteries, Francia

This course will focus on the replication of the human body in glass. Mari teaches the cheusa technique in her work to reproduce copy of face, hands and arms using glass as medium. In this workshop, you will learn how to take casts of body parts and the final result, to make plaster molds and to fuse the glass on them.

Mari Mézsàros was born in Hungary. She has lives and works in Holland since 1982. She has had several exhibitions in various galleries though out Europe and the United States. She also has her works in prestigious collections as the Fine Art Museum of San Francisco, Musée des Art Decoratifs, Lausanne and Musée Atelier de Verre, Sars Poteries, France.
